Location: - Various - (South Asia & Southeast Asia) Closing date: 30 Sep 2007 Job Description World Concern is seeking to develop a roster of professionals who may be called upon to serve on a disaster response team following a disaster in South or Southeast Asia. Professionals selected for the contact list may be contracted on an as-needed basis in case of future disasters, depending on the disaster scale and the organizational response direction. Being selected for the list is not a guarantee of future employment or contracting. Professionals with experience in the emergency relief phase of disaster response - including emergency management, logistics, engineering in disasters (i.e. water, sanitation, shelter), camp management, protection or other related fields are invited to submit their information. 3-5 years work experience in the field is required. Working knowledge of and committment to best practices, ethics and standards of emergency response is required. Masters level with local language (South or Southeast Asian) ability strongly preferred. Previous experience in an emergency-phase disaster response is a significant plus.
